Safety inspections of selected localities in the Moravian-Silesian Region

This diploma thesis presents safety inspection in selected localities in the Moravian-Silesian Region. Ten sections and ten intersections from rural area were selected for an accident rate analysis at first. These locations were compared on the basis of accident rate analysis and accident indicators. After that, were selected three sections and three intersections for a safety inspection. The safety inspection included a visual inspection and risk identification. For all identified risks were proposed a possible solutions.
Intersection of 1.máj and Palacký in Moravské Budějovice

This thesis deals with the solution of the crossroads of the 1st Máje and Palackého in Moravské Budějovice. Part of the work is security inspection, calculation of uncontrolled intersection capacity, traffic survey. The findings are applied to possible solutions of crossing of the 1st Máje and Palackého in Moravské Budějovice.
Solution of traffic problems in the town of Hranice

The Diploma Thesis is focused on the analysis of a traffic situation in the territory of the town of Hranice. The work is based on information about the level of automativity, accident rate and own analysis and measurements. Based on the detected facts, 3 problem sites were indentified, which were subjected to a road safety inspection. Possible risks that could lead to a traffic accident were identified. For each risk, a measure have been proposed to improve road safety or to eliminate the risk completely.
Analysis of Critical Places in Road Transport in the Ústí nad Orlicí Region

Study of the Sadova area in Brno

The diploma thesis focuses on the assessment of transport infrastructure in Brno, the Sadová area and presents a solving proposal for selected problems. The work is based on the site's survey and measurement, as well as data collected from all available sources. The CDV methodology on road safety inspections in accordance with EU Directive 2008/96/EC was used as a basis for processing the analysis of individual sites. A detailed risk assessment is performed at four sites in the area where problems are identified and a proposal for their solution is given. In relation to public transport, the work also evaluates the individual bus stops, identifies major drawbacks, and contains suggestions for a comprehensive solution of bus stops emplacement. The proposal also includes suitable places for the implementation of pedestrian crossings on Kociánka.

Road safety inspection in the Zlin region

The topic of this Diploma's thesis is Road safety inspection in the Zlín region. To start off, I was given 14 dangerous locations in the region of Zlín by the Road Services of Kroměříž; 7 of them at crossroads and 7 outside of crossroads. Then I analysed accident risks and compared the locations among each other according to safety features. Based on the outcome of my analysis, then I chose 2 locations at crossroads and 2 outside of crossroads which I personally visited and conducted analysis on how safe they are. I uncovered potential risks which could lead to traffic accidents and suggested solutions that eliminate or minimise that risk.
Road safety inspection in the 0lomouc region

The diploma thesis focuses on a road safety inspection of selected intersections in Olomouc Region. The first step of the diploma thesis was to select 20 intersections, then each one was subjected to accident analysis. The intersections were compared by accident indicators, which were the basis of selection 11 intersections for visual inspection purposes. Based on visual inspections, the selection was further reduced to 4 intersections in Olomouc Region, which were subjected to detailed road safety inspection, then the potential risks influencing the origins of accident were identified and corrective measures were proposed in order to remove or eliminate the intersections problems.
Safety inspections in region Vysocina

This thesis presents a safety inspection in selected places in the Vysocina region of the Czech Republic. Six intersections in rural and municipal areas, plus three rural road sections were selected for the inspection and an accident rate analysis. The places selected were compared in terms of the accident rate and one case of each group was then selected for a detailed safety inspection encompassing visual inspection and identification of possible hazards. By eliminating such safety hazards, it is possible to ensure a traffic fluency and to preclude traffic accidents or at least minimize the harm caused by it.
